Applications are sought from highly qualified individuals to direct the science operations of the Energy Center (EC) on the Utah State University campus. The EC is supported by the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative (USTAR) and is a high energy, team-oriented organization that is pioneering the development of novel technologies for the use of algae in the production of liquid fuels and high value compounds. Qualified applicants will have a PhD in a relevant field and a demonstrated research program in some area related to phototrophic microbes. A strong record of coordinating science programs in preferred. A tenured or tenure track faculty position in a USU department is available depending on qualifications. Applicants shall possess effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Post-doctoral or industrial research experience is desirable.
